The Ghana Football Association sacked national team coach Otto Addo yesterday, hours after a friendly loss to Germany, with about 70 days until the World Cup kicks off. The 'Black Stars' lost 1-2 in Stuttgart, where the hosts needed a late goal from Stuttgart striker Deniz Undav to secure the victory. This marks Addo's fourth consecutive defeat with the national team, which suffered a heavy 1-5 loss to Austria last week. In a statement, the Ghana Football Association said: 'The Association expresses its deepest gratitude to Otto Addo for his contribution to the national team and wishes him all the best in his future career.' It also added that 'the Association will announce the team's new technical direction at the appropriate time'.
