The Ghana Football Association has officially announced on Monday the appointment of veteran Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz as the head coach of the national team. He will lead the team in the 2026 World Cup finals, scheduled to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Queiroz will guide Ghana against strong teams such as England, Croatia, and Panama. The Ghanaian team will begin its journey with a match against Panama on June 17 in the Canadian city of Toronto. This marks Queiroz's fifth consecutive appearance in the World Cup finals (Portugal 2010, Iran 2014, 2018 and 2022, and now Ghana 2026).
